April 6 saw the release of the album 30 Years – The New Best Of – a new collection of the best hits Fancy, one of the most sincere and heartfelt performers of the 1980s. A new compilation of the German legend Italo-disco will consist of 20 selected tracks.
The album included unmistakable hits that brought Fancy world popularity and love. Among the pearls of this album are “Chinese Eyes”, which took the 2nd place of the Billboard dance chart in the USA, “Bolero”, which did not descend from the first line of the Spain charts for 6 months, and many hits of the top ten in Germany’s native performer. The tracklist of this album convincingly proves: musical trends can replace each other as much as possible – not only the sincerity and honesty before themselves and their listeners is not out of date.
By musical standards, the Fancy star ascended to the sky rather late: in 1984, at the age of 38, Manfred Alois Zegit released Slice Me Nice, which was a resounding success. After that, Fancy releases a whole line of thoroughbred pop hits. “Chinese Eyes”, “Bolero”, “Lady Of Ice”, “Colder Than Ice”, “Get Lost Tonight”, “Flames Of Love” are just some tracks that raced Fancy to the musical Olympus. Also Fancy is known as a remix artist (for example, his pen belongs to Michael Jackson’s “Mind Is The Magic”), an associate of Jimi Hendrix and Giorgio Moroder. On his account – countless hits in the top ten European charts, the title of the record holder of Guinness Book (2016: musical performance at the highest altitude – the bar that obeyed Fancy in 70 years) and fruitful work with a large number of charitable organizations (assistance to large feline, born in civilization, in Slovakia and humanitarian aid in Romania).
