Englishman Dave Inker is a gifted singer, composer, and guitarist, and New Zealander Hilary Hamilton matches his skills with her songwriting and vocals; together they make up a talented duo known simply by their last names, Inker & Hamilton. Dave Inker and Hilary Hamilton first began to collaborate musically in 1978. Two years later they finished a pleasing debut album, Highs & Lows. The album received good reviews, and soon the duo signed a deal with a major record label, Sony Music. Inker & Hamilton recorded two more albums for Sony, Person to Person and Double Feature, before moving over to the PolyGram Records label in 1984 for a forth album, The Mind and the Body.

Inker & Hamilton began to have its first taste of true success on the charts near the end of the 1980s and into the 1990s with singles from the albums Dancing into Danger, Poetry in Motion, and Dialogue. The title single from Dancing into Danger stayed on the Top 20 chart for 14 long weeks. With a few hits to its credit, a number of European tours, and spots on television and radio, the duo increased its fan base steadily as the years went by. After almost two decades together, Inker & Hamilton recorded a best-of album, All the Best. The album carries tracks like “Flowers Today,” “It’s a Crime,” “Calling Your Name,” and the team’s biggest hit at that point, “Dancing into Danger.”
